Fundraiser for Eileen Torres
Dear Friends:
Our good friend Eileen Torres fell and broke her ankle in two places, in December of last year. She required surgery, still requires medical treatment and rehabilitation. On Wednesday, February 24, 2010, a fundraiser will be held at: Zanzibar, 700 Water Street, S.W. Washington, D.C., 6:00 PM-Midnight, to help pay some of Eileen's large medical bills.
The money collected at the door will go to help pay Eileen's medical bills. Although a specific amount is not being requested, any donation, will be greatly appreciated.
We need volunteers, at the door, to collect the money. If you have a half an hour, that you can give, please email Wendell Robinson at: salsametro@aol.com.
The co-host of this fundraiser are the following: Ramiro (El Padrino) Prada, Wendell Robinson Jeri Dembrak, Wanda Pica, Roxana Ayona, myself, and others to be announced. You will, more than likely, be hearing from each of them.
DJ's Bruno (El Unico), Nancy Alonso, Mike (El Sonero) Morales, Saborinquen, Azucar, Sabroso Killer Joe, Manuel Martinez, Jon (Vino) Trevino, and DJ Carlos (El Cacique) have donated their time to play for this fundraiser.
If you cannot make the fundraiser, please see if you can contribute something and we'll inform Eileen of your donation. Ramiro and I will be providing those of you who cannot make the fundraiser with an alternative means of making a donation.
Please help!!! Eileen has giving us years of memorable dancing and entertainment at Zanzibar. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of the other co-hostess or me at: stuckonsalsa@gmail.com or call: 202-487-4646
