Ms. Julissa Cruz

Native from Puerto Rico, Julissa Cruz is no stranger to rhythm. With a 15 year educational background that includes Salsa/Mambo, Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Tap, and Musical Theatre; she is easily recognized as one of the most versatile performers/ choreographers in Latin Dance. She served as the director of the Salsa Heat Professional Dance Company of Orlando FL for 4 years, and has worked with world renowned choreographers such as Troy Anthony, Gordon Neil, and Jamie Josephson. From Congresses to workshops to performing with recording artists Charlie Cruz and Tito Nieves, Julissa has been seen on various stages stretching from LA to Paris. She is currently the head choreographer of the first ever Salsa inspired theatrical production “Migue”, scheduled to show in 2009. Julissa Cruz resides in Richmond, VA where she strives to bring more members into our salsa community.
