What a weekend . Melena live at TSR with Salsaley 4G , survived the the floods and torrential down pour in Westville NJ , saw some incredible shows and had awesome time at the TakeOver, was left speechless by the turnout at Lucky Strikes and even got 6.5 hours sleep.
On to the next one . I will be giving free Salsa classes tonight Mon April 18, 2011 at Lima located at 1401 k st nw wdc start at 9pm Dance party with DJ Manny starts at 10:30pm No cover for all and Open Bar for the ladies from 9pm until 11pm sponsored by Primo Productions
I am just realizing after all these years of teaching that is not as easy as I thought for people to learn how to dance on beat and actually even harder to hear the 1 in the song
Not sure if people get nervous or their attention span is limited but each week I see a lot of people struggle to learn the basic step . I think since I have been doing it so long , I take for granted how hard it might be for some people .
Good Times at the Baltimore Salsa Fest , enjoyed the shows last night .Bands nights were swinging. I was feeling DJ Renzo and DJ Dany J music selections. this weekend . Really Really liked Darlin Garcia and Melissa Pabon's routine.
Met a lot of new nice people.
Great to see John' "Choco" Knight of Mambo Fateegz
